Introducing magical e-card creator, Jacquie Lawson

It seems appropriate for my last blog of the year to focus on someone who has not only transformed her life, creating a magical empire (literally), but has also managed to touch the lives of so many who come into contact with her work.

drum roll…

jackie lawson

meet Jacquie Lawson.

She trained as an illustrator and worked for twenty years as a freelancer in drawing, painting and design.

In 2000 she created her first e-card, ‘The Christmas Cottage’ e-card (an animated Christmas card featuring her dog and cats, and her 15th-century cottage) and emailed it on to a few friends.

The rest, as we say, is history.

Then in 2001 she created a simple website which enabled her to show her work, and allowed people to download the e-cards.

Here is the link to the website: http://www.jacquielawson.com/ Check it out.

Over the years the collection has grown to a current total of 194 e-cards; each one more magical than the next. Even the music is composed and arranged specially for each card! It’s so cool.

Here is a perfect example of someone who has taken her passion and created a life for herself around her passion. That’s exactly what Dream On is all about.

That’s what I want for me.

That’s what I want for you.

I want to wish you all happy holidays and a very merry Christmas and here is one of Jacquie Lawson’s card to do just that. It does have music so turn on your speakers (or not…) before you open it.

Please click on the following link to see your card.

I will be back again in the New Year.

Take care of yourselves.

I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great. I don’t
know who you are but definitely you’re going to a famous blogger if you are not already 😉 Cheers!

      Hi Bruno,

Thank you for your comment; that’s really nice of you to say. As long as I can help people, that’s what I’m hoping for with this blog.
